Any application made to WHC automatically requires the Contract Services team and our Legal Services department to step
in and ensure that the necessary checks and documentation are in line with all requirements. New and existing contracts
are created and the Contracts Services becomes the central point from which all processes are subsequently managed.
The Contracts Services team works very closely with the Legal Services specialists who review all documentation and check-lists
to ensure full compliance prior to projects being submitted for sign-off and approval. As a central touchpoint, the
Contract Services team liaises with sponsors and researchers and remains the primary contact point for the duration
of any project. This team is responsible for document and process tracking, policy creation, project plan adherence
and accounting oversight.
These two areas of our Shared Services Centre are highly efficient and turnaround times to finalise new contracts and
policies are finalised within a seven-day period.
