Wits CPD Office

The Wits CPD Office, accredited by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), plays a vital role in supporting the ongoing professional development of healthcare practitioners. Operating within the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, the office ensures that health professionals meet the regulatory requirements for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as outlined in the Health Professions Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974).

The CPD Office facilitates the allocation of CPD points for accredited activities, including:

  • Workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Journal clubs and academic meetings.
  • Collaborative sessions with provincial and national experts.
  • Ethics and compliance training.
